About Refabrications

In the year of  2003, a mission began ...,
to make an income doing that which I love, in order to support my children as well as myself. Because of my little girl's severe allergies and other various reasons, she & her brother need to be home-schooled which means  that I had to give up a job in the standard workplace & invest myself in the well-being & education of my children. As a mother, artist & musician, I had to figure out some way to achieve a love for what I do, still be with my children & still get the bills paid & bring some uniqueness & happiness to the other inhabitants of the world. And while I am still not yet where I would like to be with it all, I have came a long way in the last 13 years.

My spiritual, emotional, logical, & practical desires, all shine through in my one-of-a-kind dolls and art pieces because it is important for me to share a unique vision & make materials come alive so that I may bring a smile to the faces of those who see my works & so that I can make a better way for my children financially. This is what spawned Refabrications, which has, since it's advent, been, primarily, a resource of truly-unique altered art dolls, that just as snow flakes or children, no two are ever alike. I always strive to put quality & unique essence into my creations which now exist all over the world ranging from Thailand to New York to Australia, to California and so on.

I am pleased to have recently become a recognized artist by  "Designer Dolls Magazine", where my "Gibson Girl" was featured on The Holiday Page & my "Edwina Scissorhands - Redux Thrice" was  featured in the 2013 Halloween Edition of  "Designer Dolls Magazine". Thank you, Karen McGuire!  I was a guest panelist at The 2013 Atlanta Ball-Jointed Doll Convention where four of my dolls were featured and I taught some classes on doll-customizing.  Also, thanks to Dangerous Minds for featuring my work on their page !! Most of all, thank you to the fans of my work and  for taking the time to have a gander at my website here.
